"Today was the annual awards ceremony for the School of Architecture and Community Design at USF. I won what are considered as the two most prestigious awards a student can receive in our program. The first one was the AIA Henry Adam’s Gold Medal which is given to the student who has excelled in all areas of the curriculum and who has the highest GPA of their graduating class. It’s an amazing honor and a national one at that! The second award is one that is unique to our school, the Eduardo Garcia Award. Every year the faculty nominates four students who they feel represent the strongest design work within their graduating class. Those students create a gallery of their work and the prior winners of the award are invited to come back and vote for the new winner. I was honored to receive this award as my fellow peers made it a very difficult decision. Best.Day.Ever!"
